Pennies for Poppy

Having recently heard the devastating news that Poppy Gidney, the 2-year-old daughter of local boxer Paul, has been diagnosed with cancer we have decided to try and raise some funds and awareness to help the family at this troubling time.

There is a fundraising event scheduled for the 22nd July 2016 at Wardley Social Club. Tickets are £3 each and can be bought directly from the club or via Jamie or Ashleigh (see Pennies for Poppy page here https://www.facebook.com/events/1117211064985047/ for more details).

We at British Boxing Blog have a signed Chris Eubank Jr boxing glove up for grabs. We discussed the idea of auctioning it at a specific event but thought by running an online auction we could hopefully receive more bids and generate more interest for Paul and Poppy.

The glove is a left handed, black leather Lonsdale boxing glove and comes with Certificate of Authenticity from original vendor. The auction will run until the 22nd June 2016. Happy bidding!
