A change has been in the main event on the MGM Edinburgh Fight Night show on 5th December. David Brophy now has a new opponent in Tobias Webb. Webb who is no stranger to British fight fans poses a step up for Brophy who has big ambitions under the guidance of MGM.
Webb has mixed in good company, sharing the ring with Callum Smith, Rocky Fielding and holds a win over the tough English based Gambian Patrick Mendy. Webb has shown he is a game fighter so will be coming to Edinburgh full of ambition and will see a victory over the highly rated Brophy as a gateway to getting back in the domestic title picture.
It is yet to be confirmed if this fight will remain a Commonwealth title eliminator however promoter Sam Kynoch seemed excited as he spoke about the change of opponent for Brophy,
"I am delighted to have Tobias Webb stepping in to face David Brophy on 5th December. This is an excellent domestic clash and exactly the type of fight which David requires at this stage in his career. I think that their styles will gel and make for a very entertaining 10 round contest."
